Why is the system logging me out?

After logging in and spending some time browsing around the forum, I notice that when I go to post a reply to a thread I am often mysteriously not logged in anymore. I have to re-enter my user name and password.

It seems that the system is terminating my session for some reason. This happens quite frequently.

Any particular reason for this?

Seems to happen to me during looooong posts. I'm not a fast typer and by the time you want to "submit" it's logged out. Really found it annoying early on because I didn't just "relog at the prompt" which does save everything and get you back to where you were. I don't think it's anything "personal".;)

This is the first of this I've heard. I've got to address some of the search function issues tonight, and will take a look at that as well.
