1977 e27 fuel tank

looking for some insite, on a 1977 E27, what was the fuel tank made of, I tested the tank with a maganet, and it did not stick, but I'm not sure if that year and model was fitted with Monel steel, stainless or aluminum. if any body out there has any info , I would greatly appreciate the help. :confused:

Could be Monel.

My 1978 E-27 tank was aluminum. Now it is a 3 gallon plastic can until I create a more permanent solution.

My 1973 E27 has an aluminum gas tank.

A few years back I replaced my original 1973 E27 gas tank. It still had the reddish paint that matched the Atomic 4 engine on it. It was steel and I had a new aluminum one made.

My 1976 e27 (wheel steering split cockpit design) fuel tank is constructed out of aluminum.
