A suggestion to enhance....

This is a great website! But I have a suggestion: I know it will send an email to let me know if there is a new response posted on any thread to which I have replied. But sometimes I don't have anything useful to add to a thread, but would nevertheless like to see any new posts on it, for my own learning. My suggestion is to add a box/place where one could tick/check to be notified of any new replies, even without having added anything to the thread.
If there is already such a thing, please let me know how to access it.

I think under "Thread Tools" the option to "Subscribe to this thread" will do what you want.

(never used it myself...good idea though!)

Yes, and you can also go into your user control panel (small 'UserCP' button, upper left) and see all the threads you're subscribed to - and manage them, etc.
