E-Scows/awesome boats

In a number of threads I've mentioned that my sailing "experience" involved many years of Inland Scow racing on a friends 28' E-Scow.

It all began in '74 w/ an introductory "race?" on my friends "ALL wood" E-scow.
We started "last", tipped over once(breaking the gooseneck) & finished "dead last"(where's the fleet?) but we DID finish! I bought MY 1st boat, a similar M-16, the very next week!

After many years we were able to improve, gaining experience, being able to afford sail upgrades, and sailing newer(never new) boats. From '85-'98 we actually WON the Wed. night series 11 times. Many regattas all over the Midwest, fun was always had by all! I was the "lucky?" guy on JIB and foredeck(pole gyber), and filling in on spinnaker occasionally.

The only reason I'm bringing this up is that I stumbled across some pretty good videos on YouTube, for those of you that have never seen these "awesome/scary" boats in action, take a peek!
Gota "love the internet"!

By the way, A-Go-Go is a photo OP daysail, in a race you do it w/ a chute up!
:scared:Just imagine the "leeward mark" w/ a bunch of "Ericsons" in the way!
We started using class dedicated "leeward" marks about 12 years ago!
