Since this group has been a little slow lately, I figured I'd compliment you Bay area sailors on how lucky you are this time of year. While I still believe the PNW is one of the best, if not the best places to sail. Cruising around Montery Bay on Sunday in mid 60's weather with 8 knots was a nice change of pace from what we had up in the PNW the week before. I'm surprised I don't see more threads, but it may be because you are too busy sailing!

Saturday was nice also. Looks like this weekend isn't going to be as pleasant.

It's a nice place to sail - far less surprises then in many other places on the coast.
The weather doesn't change quickly (usually) and when the fog rolls in, it usually gives you planty of time to come home.
Summer night time sailing is great with beautiful views of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
