BucValu and Nada guide opinions

For those of you looking at boats, here are two valuable resources for determining the value of a used boat:

I used BUC to determine what the PO was basing his numbers on. The brokers are always using it as justification of increasing prices, etc.

When I pointed it out to the broker (that the condition of the boat actually pushed it's BUC value down) he became quite irritated. So I guess it's more or less just a reference - and depending on who's holding it and why, determines which way the numbers run...

In the end it made little difference - the surveyor dropped the value and I wanted an E35-3 anyhow - so that's what I ended up with...
