Hey all,

BOC was outstanding! Got to see them play in a small club the day before the big show. Only about 50 people there. I was actually on stage playing harmonica with a friend Todd on guitar (Open Mic Club) when they walked into the club. Technically I opened for BOC! We were playing Tom Thumbs Blues by Bob Dylan. Met Buck Dharma (lead guitarist) three times over the three day trip to Catalina. I asked Buck what he did on Monday, he said he went snorkeling! I asked how was it and he said "You know, Swimming with the Fishes".

They loved it at Catalina and said they would be back. Eric Bloom (front man) of BOC took photos of my boat that had BOC logos all over it! I met many other hard core fans, some from San Francisco and even New York. It was one Fan's (Rob Miller) 290th show!

This time we had great sailing coming and going! The wind was hitting close to 24 knots when we came back to San Pedro and I hit a new speed record on the Cucamonga (my boat), 8.5 Knots! We got a perfect mooring right in front of the board walk in Avalon Harbor!

It was a perfect trip that I will never forget. The Avalon Ballroom was just spectacular with a magical view of the harbor!

The new Drummer, Jules and base player Richie have injected new excitement into the band! They all played there asses off!!

Cheers

Skipper and die hard BOC fan!

Glad to know that I'm not the only Rock and Roll sailor out here Pat.

I actually did get to play with one real rock star on stage one. It was "Otis Day and the Nights" of Animal House fame. I played a harmonica solo for them at a club in Covina once. Quite the rush, but I'll stick with my day job.

It was one hellava bitch'n trip!!!!:scared:   :egrin: :headb: :lol3:
