Hello,
Just because this site might have readers I thought I'd say hi. I plan to keep in the Fishers Island Sound vicinity this season. I'm sailing Illo this summer x my fingers for better weather and safe sailing. This is my first sailboat and is the E-26 '85
See you on the water:esad:

I Googled Noank because I couldn't remember exactly where it is. I'm a CT native, although I live in Maryland now. I'm from Fairfield and could actually see Long Island Sound from my parent's home although we were not next to the shore. Just high enough to look over at Long Island Sound and Port Jefferson every day. Up your way the water is much more dynamic than in the lower Sound. Lots of waves as I recall. I've only been up that way to watch the America's Cup a million years ago and a boat ride on a small powerboat from the Lyme area (and experienced my first thunderstorm on the water). Have fun on your boat. Wishing you blue skies and fair winds.

Hi,
Great to see some interest here. I made my initial run in Fishers Is Sound this past Monday. Tonight, I crewed aboard an New Zealand made vessal. 44' odd looking beast with limited boom swing and it's jig nearly self tacking. Nice to be aboard a experienced crew gaining practical knowledge.

Rossano,
I have my e-27 moored in niantic bay ( hang loose) have been out every weekend plus this past tues. I have found better wind just on the other side of fishers island in block island sound. If you would like to meet up e-mail me at perrbrn5@aol.com. I am going to be doing a tour of montak point, block island, then to watch hill and then back home. I really like the bay due to location I'm right in front of the niantic bay yacht club on a town mooring.
