What a coincidence!
The transmission on my 1987 E34 just went out - or apparently it did, the mechanic is still checking it. It locks or severely drags when put into forward or reverse. Strange is that it works ok if the shaft is disconnected. There is nothing wrong with the shaft/propeller. Motor mounts bad too. I found two places that will sell the Hurth 100-2 (I have a 30 hp engine) for $1150 or so. East coast however.
