How's the weather out there today?

I was curious about the weather here in So Cal today - did anyone go out? The forecast called for good sized swells and a stiff breeze, but the buoy reports I viewed showed only 2-3 foot waves. I'm going down to Hurricane Gulch on Sunday for a hopefully nice mellow sail - but the forecast is for big mama waves.

.TONIGHT...W WIND 10 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 2 FT OR LESS. W SWELL 4
TO 6 FT AT 12 SECONDS. SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS.
.SAT...W WIND 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 3 TO 4 FT. W SWELL 5 TO 7 FT
AT 12 SECONDS. SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS IN THE MORNING.
.SAT NIGHT...NW WIND 15 TO 25 KT. COMBINED SEAS 6 TO 8 FT DOMINANT
PERIOD 12 SECONDS.
.SUN...N WIND 15 TO 25 KT...BECOMING NW 10 TO 15 KT IN THE
AFTERNOON. COMBINED SEAS 5 TO 7 FT.

There's always maintenance to do if it's nasty out, but there's nothing quite like a Sunday sail to start my week out right.

The swell has definitely come in. I am in Channel Islands and the swell has picked up from 2-3 to 5-7 and the wind waves kicked up because of the 15-20K wind. Good sailing out there!
