From Chandelle. We tried to contact you several times in Barkley Sound but could not make contact. However, we hit a rock in the Broken Group and spent 10 days in drydock in Port Alberni starting Aug. 11.We were hailed by a boat in Sidney on Aug. 28 who said they were in your company for a couple of days. Sorry to have missed you. Goodbye to the fog! Dick Elliott.

Sorry to hear about your encounter with the rock. Hope repairs went well.

We arrived in Bamfield Aug. 15 after a 3-day slog up the Strait. We tried to hail you for a few days, but figured you might have gone on to Clayoquot. Yes, it was particularly foggy this year, wasn't it? We left for Oregon on the 23rd - we got lucky and had a clear day without any fog, but not much wind either.
