thanks-

thanks, craig- good to be onboard! this is my very first
boat, ever (at the ripe old- YOUNG age of 46) and there
is SO much to learn! not to mention BUY! mooring costs,
fix trailer, insurance, hull out, through valves... but you
just wait- in about 6 or 8 weeks here i'm going to have
one heck of a little weekend warrior/coastal cruiser!!

Fond memories of Homer

Well Brian, I hope you've got a full piggy bank. Mine's about half full - or is it half empty? This is my first big, old boat, so I'm both excited and half-scared about what will show up next. But all the concerns go by the side once we're underway.

My girlfriend (now my wife) and I visited the Kenai Peninsula in September 2001. We had a great week and have fond memories of the famous little bar on Homer Spit. We left our money on the bar and no underwear found its way to the ceiling while we were there.

Good sailing,

Hi Brian

Welcome to the world of Ericson! A little advice on repairs and improvments, keep track of when and what but not the cost. After a while you forget the cost and enjoy the boat!
I am planning a sailing trip up that way in 2 years, we will have to stay in touch. Some of my power boater friends are going up this year, I was asked to go with them but or Ericson Rendezvous is at the same time in June so I passed. Beside too long a trip to listen to the engines all day, everyday.
If you ever head down south , let us know.
Cheers

Hi,

There used to be an E-35 II named Winderness in Haines, Alaska. Last signs I saw of her owner was a year or so back on the Sailnet hosted Ericson list located here:

Don't know if she is still there or not, but might be worth investigating.
