Cockpit table for an E-32?

Hello folks, I was wondering if anyone had an idea for a cockpit table for an older ('72) E-32. I've seen many a cool folding table attached to a boat's binnacle/wheel, but with my vintage E-32 the traveler and main sheet prevent such an application. I am considering a couple of brands of free standing tables where there pedestal is mounted in the middle of the cockpit. I am looking at the Garelick Quick Release Table Pedestal or Sequoia Table Leg System and finding my own table to attach to it. Any ideas?

Table ideas

cockpit.jpg I know this isn't what you are thinking about; it's just what I'm using in port this winter while it's too cold out for dinner, but sometimes warm enough for cocktails. I plan on mounting a larger table in the spring, mounted on the seat front on a swivel base.

Cockpit table

Steve, Thanks for the imput. I see you are in San Raphel. The folding table looks like a good idea in port. I was looking for something my guest could use when were motoring and doing things like watching the Blue Angels. I've researched online and found two options. Both have pedestals that use a quick mount to the deck. One comes with its own table. It appears the tables mound by sliding on top of the pedestal..therefore, the table can rotate on top of the pedestal when one needs to get around the table. I've attached two examples. One is Garelick Quick Release Table, the other is Delmar Removable Marine Table. They are inexpensive. The Delar leaves only a shallow mounting ring on the deck and a black plastic cover can be purchased for it. John

I have tiller steering, so I can't use that type of mounting, that's why I'm mounting mine on the seat front.

It's from Forma, around 180 euros( whatever that is). This is just one of the ones I've looked at, but it's the best so far.

aft deck design

Spent last night in Phototshop working on the cockpit photo to show my ideas for the aft deck( what used to be the helmsman cockpit). What do you think? stbd side will be propane lkr, port side for fenders/mooring lines. Stevecockpit1.jpg

That's a fair price for that.....Quick and dirty phototshop job, but it does the trick. What do you think about the design?? Is it worth the effort to do teak decking, or will I end up covering it up with gear? or cushions ? I'm thinking about sailing South in a year or two, then maybe West....Will need space for water jugs, fuel cans, etc. Call me sometime ... Steve 415-516-3823

working on the cockpit

cockpithatch.jpgThat's a nice table, thanks for the info. I cut out the port seat hatch yesterday which let me get all my tools out of the engine space( so now I can get serious about an engine). Amazing how thick the deck is and I think the liner is stronger that most modern boats.( Can't get the pic to load, will try again later).
