Not sure of the designation but think it is the late 1980s versions of the E32. Brochure says the stove is alcohol. Was there a propane option or did all them have only alcohol?

I believe that the E-32-3 in my YC has a propane locker molded in the the rear cockpit curved seat. Also that the mid/late 80's 34 and 38 had this style of cockpit.
Pressure alcohol stoves were endemic to the yacht industry through the 70's, unfortunately. By the 80's the builders/designers were changing to propane cooking for a "just like home" cooking convenience or the Origo non-pressure alcohol stoves and ranges for minimum liability. Some would offer the buyer that choice, even.

Apropos of whatever, don't forget that most all production power boat builders had gone to electric ranges with standard gen-sets during that decade, and continuing to this day.

I have the 1988 overall Ericson brochure: For the E32 of that year the words are" 2-burner alcohol stove with oven" In the same brochure is the E32-200 and the same words are used for it also. I am not familiar with an alcohol oven and in general would not want the boat with that type of oven/stove.

So my question really is whether a propane was an option. To confuse maters, I am viewing a 1989 E32 which states it has a CNG oven and stove !!

I forgot that CNG was the other alternative on many boats to please customers wanting the convenience of Propane without so much of the explosive potential. So, given that Ericson would customize details on most of their boats, it's not unusual to find CNG on a boat from the 80's.
To me it's kind of like winch upgrades. I have seen a lot of variation in ratios and ST upgrading from that era, showing that customers could have pretty much whatever they wanted on deck as well as in the galley.

Propane stove on E32-200

I have a E32-200 which is very simular to the E32-3. It has a propane stove, and a special lazarette in the transom to contain the tank. My boat Blue Max, was built in 1988.:egrin:

Ours is a 1990 32-200 with the aft lazeratte CNG storage setup...From What I read this was pretty common from about 88 to "the end".
