Wind Kickin in Long Beach Today!

Decided to reef after about 2 minutes. Single handed so I hove to and tried my single line Jiffy Reef for the first time since I bought the boat a little over a year ago! Jiffy Reef worked pretty good.

No. I was out around 2 pm and posted around 7 pm. I checked the wind speed on line around 7 pm and it was gusting up to the mid to high 20's.

You have to post some more videos so I have something to work with! Glad you have a sense of humor!

My jiffy reef is a single line that runs through both the reef tack and reef clew and then down through two blocks taking it to the cockpit. When I lower the main after a sail, there is generaly some slack in the reef line, so I pull the reef line in to tidy things a bit. The only issue is that due to the the seruptitious route, I need to make sure I give the line some slack otherwise the friction hampers raising the main, .
