An upbeat attitude to sailing in bad weather. Also we did a decent job in almost keeping up with that J-boat on our starboard side. They did finally pass us, of course.

Plus I’m carrying, I don’t know how many pounds, of tools and spare parts, full fresh water tanks, and using your basic run of the mill bay cruising sails. But it is an Ericson after all.

Brings to mind an old copy of the BSA “Scout Law” we used to have on the wall. The drawing for “…cheerful” showed a kid hiking in the rain with a big smile on his face. Nice job setting the example @Bolo !
