wondering if anyone knows the Base PHRF rating for an Ericson 34-2 Wing keel? found a baseline for the fin But can't seem to find any info on the Winged Keel .
Also is the displacement also 13000lb with the wing keel or was extra ballast added to the wing?
I have a 1988 E26-2 that had a wing keel and I think the adjustment was 6 seconds added to base. IMO not nearly enough. My wing keel was approximately the same as standard Fin
We get a 3 second penalty for the shoal draft keel, for races using the ToD distance racing handicap (DHCP). When I asked, I was told that shoal draft boats are faster in long races as they are 75% off the wind!
