What a great couple of days to be sailing in the South Sound. It’s my first time down here. Glad we chose to turn left instead of right when we left Elliot Bay this week.

You should go anchor out by Penrose State Park (on the outside (south side) not the north side where the ledge is - or down at Hope Island (on the west side)....Hope has some strong currents, but it's a great little island. One word of caution though - when you go past the Nisqually Reach on your way down there - stay over on on the other side (away from the mud flats)...
