Hello all, I am finally preparing to bring the boat to the yard to bring down the mast and replace the sheaves. While its down I will paint, replace parts, and rewire. This is a 1974 Ericson 35-2 with standard mast. I have read up on all things that need to be done to take it down, boom, stays, wiring. The one thing Im not sure about is fasteners. It is deck mounted and looks like there are 4 bolts coming through the floor likely to the mast. On the deck there are no bolts just a molding around the base of the mast. Does this need to come off, or does anything need to be done on the topside of the deck at the mast? Side note, anything I should upgrade to with the mast down? New deck plate, new hardware upgrades? If someone has a link to a forum post on removing the mast on these that would be appreciated also.
