heat exchanger pluged solid

My a4 manifold has the water jacket plugged solid. A replacement is almost $500 at Moyers. Does anyone have suggestions for cleaning it out? As always thanks in advance, Edd

Heat exchanger?

Try removing the heat exchanger and taking it to a radiator shop to be boiled out.
