Foul Weather Gear Waterproof as a Sponge

Obliged to pass on the surprise. My 8-year-old WM foul weather jacket, Third Reef model, "Nylon Polyurethane coated", now leaks like a sieve. This the lesson of, er, rain. Hmmm.

I must have cheaped out on this handsome jacket. Assumed it was GoreTex or some such proven material, but I guess not. Never laundered (bad for any foul weather gear).

I'd not have known this, if headed off around the world, or anywhere there might be a bit of spray. Yikes. Stuff gets old. Looks good, works bad.

This stuff might bring it back. I've used it to bring back water repellency for a couple jackets. If the jacket isn't dirty I wouldn't bother with the detergent just spray the repellency stuff on.
