The first mate and I took Vesper out of Back Creek in Annapolis for its first sail of 2024 and to take a good look at our newly cleaned and repaired head sail. One of the first things we noticed was the lack of freights anchored out waiting their turn to enter Baltimore. Not one ship could be seen which was a first for us. Feel bad for the guys who lost their lives but also for all the people loosing wages because of the bridge collapse. Hope that things turn around for them soon. Then we’ll be dodging the big ships on the bay once again.
