I have the opportunity to purchase a nav pod at a very reasonable price but it is for a 12" binnacle guard.
Does anyone know if the 34-2 has a 9.5" or 12" guard ?

Our 1988 Yacht Services wheel and guard has the wider spacing, IIRC. The later (alternative?) Edson setup was the 9.5" guard.
Sister ship owners can chime in, tho.

John,

Our 1986 E35-3 guard for a Yachting Specialties pedestal was 12.5". We ordered a 12" gap NavPod for our 9" Zeus but returned it because it was too small. We're looking at other options and are still in the head-scratching phase. Scanstrut's mounting system is designed to accommodate a range of widths.

Your boat may well be different, so this data may only be worth what it's costing you.

Cheers,
Jeff

Our E34-2 has an Edson binnacle with a 9-1/2 inch binnacle guard and 1 inch tubing. We bought a Navpod and it fits perfectly.
