    conversion of an E27 from Volvo to Electric propulsion

    Hybrid propulsion system

    Is anyone aware of any "average man" (aka. affordable)cruising sailboat with a hybrid type propulsion system? The idea of a Prius type system seems to make sense for a 36 foot boat, batteries low and on centerline, an electric propulsion motor and a small diesel.

    Hi, I'm thinking about repowering our '77 Ericson-32 (Atomic-4). Did anybody consider repowering with a diesel-electric propulsion system (for example Glacier Bay or similar)? I'm exploring this option as an alternative to a common Diesel engine. Any thoughts or information are appreciated...
