Oh that is amazing!

I was thinking of building a wood ship model, something to do when I am not doing maintenance on the real boat (all three hours a year), wondering if anyone has the hull plans, so I can properly layout a ship model that looks like my 32' yellow beast?

That looks like the style used on the 70's 32-2 That looks like what I have an eight foot stick of sitting next to me in the basement, I racked it up last year, and again this year, but if it gets shattered again I am going to look into a different style of rail as a replacement.

I would not mind moving the traveler connection forward about a foot, just to keep the lines from interfering with the throttle and shifter all of the time!

I have been looking online and it looks like bending at the Vang mount is a pretty common issue. I have a feeling this will not be a fix I do this year, but next winter I may take the boom, straighten it, and then make an internal reinforcement to stiffen the boom against the greater lateral...

I was out chipping the ice out of the cockpit drains today ad took the time to look down the length of the boom (with no sail on it) and I noticed that it has a bend right where the spring loaded vang connects, it seems to bend to port about 1" (the very end of the boom is deflected about 1"...

At the end of Lake Superior I have the big yellow one! 1974 32-2, named Big Bird for a reason.

Wiring I was thinking about the wiring part as well, with the current setup you cannot get at any of the wiring between the engine compartment and wherever the wires terminate. If I have wood strips screwed in place I would be able to easily access the wiring and make changes at will!

Looks wonderful! Excellent! I will make sure this gets put down on the list of truly feasible projects for next year! I will post pictures as well!
