    Deck Thickness at Cabin Top

Tee Nuts Hey Guy, Thanks very much. I used to have a McMaster-Carr catalogue, well over 2,000 pp. thick. Obviously, this is now available on line. In any event, Tee nuts mounted on angled blocks would definitely be the way to go if I decide to mount from below which also would be best way to...

    Deck Thickness at Cabin Top

Solution: Tee Nuts! Guy, Thank you very much; this sound like a genuinely excellent alternative and solution. Like you, I don't like drilling into deck of any boat unless absolutely necessary. Have no idea where to purchase Tee Nuts, but my brother in law runs a high end machine shop and am...

    Deck Thickness at Cabin Top

Reply8-31-16 Thank you Christian. Actually I am considering drilling from deck above, but still need to know how thick deck is. Because, yes, having microwave falling on my head would be very unpleasant experience.

    Deck Thickness at Cabin Top

I finally broke down and bought a microwave (since I like hot food on longer distance cruising) that I plan to install the way you would from underneath a kitchen cabinet. Location on my Ericson 35 MK II will be just forward of bulkhead/partition at Nav station, underneath port settee...

    Fabric replacement

Fabric Jeeze why would you want to do that. Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I just replaced the fabric on my Ericson 35 MkII, albeit a 1973. If Ok with the Missis, be happy to sell for a nominal sum. A god awful kind of plaid in my not so humble opinion. David

E35: Epoxy - Steel- Chainplate, Input Requested

I posted a thread a little over a month ago as I was preparing to dig into the main salon bulkhead on my Ericson 35 MkII where a poorly bedded chainplate left a dangerous situation and am grateful for the advice I got then from this wonderful site... I have cut a piece of white oak to scarf in...

    Bulkhead / Chainplate Question

Follow Up and Thanks! Exodooce: yep, I sure didn't want to cut into that headliner. I did dig out in upper channel and crap came right out. Am still a little concerned about accessing core in deck from below as some moisture is sure to have migrated there too--confirmed by a little lateral...

    Bulkhead / Chainplate Question

Ahoy: What a wonderful site. I am a relatively new owner of an Ericson 35 MK II, 1973. Essentially bought the boat because, among other reasons, I loved the lines and was convinced of quality construction pretty much throughout. Have my fair share of improvements and repairs ahead, but I am a...
