    YS Pedestal single-cable steering linkage

looks to me like it is missing another cable that is supposed to attach to the other side of the piece the one is attached to. It also seems like the design of the quadrant must have some type of a gear mounted on it instead of the "triangle" design used with steel cables. Mike HAVOC

    Code of Signals Decals

My boat name is spelled out in the Code of Signals stickers. I can't seem to find anywhere that sells the stickers or decals, mine are becoming worn and need to be replaced. Does anyone have experience in trying to find these? Thanks, Mike Grave Havoc 32-2 Yankton, SD

    emergency tiller

lock a boat? You lock your boat? A while back some thieves got in the marina and stole some tools out of boats. They stole maybe a hundred or two dollars worth of tools and caused over that in damage to the hatch trying to get in. After that no one at the marina even tries to lock their...

    Spinlock clutch on mast?

Below are pictures of the winches attached to my mast. As you can see I also have halyards (1/3, and 2/3 up the mast) running back to the cockpit. The winches on the mast are used to run the 4 halyards off the top of the mast. Hope this helps. Mike Grave Havoc 32-2 Yankton, SD

    Spinlock clutch on mast?

I'm not sure how my winches are mounted to my mast, but I have 4 of them mounted on the mast and can run 6 halyards with 2 being ran to the cockpit. I will be at the boat tonight and will try to remember to take some pictures of the setup. It is somewhat complicated to determine what is going...

Pulling into a windward double-finger slip

When I learned to dock my 32' I was told only pull into the slip as hard as your willing to hit something. That being said I've had some days where you point at the slip and allow the boat to drift and time your run to get the bow in, once the bow is in its for the most part uneventful. Most...

    Observations

I am sailing on Lewis and Clark Lake. In the years I have been around SD I have heard that it is one of the best sailing lakes around, don't have anything to compare it to but it is nice that the lake runs east and west and we normally have north/south winds.

    Leaky Cabin Hatch-Wood Frame

I have the same problem with all three of my hatches on my '74 32-2. I am hoping not to have to take all of them off as they are all wood and lots of teak plugs to deal with. :esad: Mike Grave Havoc Ericson 32-2 Yankton SD

Static/Dock tensioning I have a 32-2 and need to adjust the shrouds as I am fixing my Mast Step and I know the side stays/shrouds are not tensioned correctly. I am curious if anyone knows where to find the guidelines or suggestions for dock tensioning for side stays and back stays for the...
