    Help on boat curtains, please

Frank, See post #58 of the thread posted by Loren for my alternate curtain choice and rationale. Material is very similar to material used by Grant in post #7 above. No sewing required! Mark

    Fuel tank pull on E33RH

A previous owner replaced the tank. Don't know why. It was only 9 years old at the time of replacement. It was done by Vic Berry Sheetmetal, the OEM. He was still working in 2022. Catch him before he retires! See post #5 in this thread for info specific to Vic Berry and the E33RH...

    Fuel tank pull on E33RH

My tank is a 1990 replacement in stainless steel. I had water in the tank and gunk in the fuel but no leaks. I had the fuel pumped out and added four access ports so I could clean out the tank.

    Fuel tank pull on E33RH

E36RH, but same fuel tank location. Mine was easy to get loose and move around when I added access ports. I didn't try to get it out the companionway. The plywood base of the settee just unscrews. There were a couple of athwartship boards holding the tank down and I had a couple of nylon...

Robert, I have Main, spin and pole lift on right (stbd) and genoa and spin on left. And I agree with Bruce. Better to measure to be sure. Mark

    Halyard lengths on RH 36??

Hi Robert, Thanks for the reminder! All of my masthead halyards (2 spin, main and genoa) started life at 110 feet. They all have an eye splice for a shackle and a Flemish/reeving eye splice in the tail. I lost 2 feet for the eye splice and 1 foot for the Flemish/reeving eye, so mine ended up...

Interlux Perfection Paint Color - White

Well, it's been three years with the transom in primer and no name. I just hauled for bottom paint and topside buffing last week. We had hot and dry weather for two days so I pulled out the Interlux Perfection (color off white) and painted the transom. The primer had darkened a little but...

    Electrical woes

Petro, You never mentioned if you replaced the old shore power cable with a new orange Smart Plug cable when you added the Smart Plug. If you didn't, I'd check that old Shore Power cable. I'd also highly recommend replacing any old Shore Power cord with an unknown history...

    Halyard lengths on RH 36??

Robert, I replaced all mine and they are lead aft. I like all the lengths. The bill has the lengths but is at home and I am not, but I will be home around Aug 4 and will post what I got then. Mark

    Ericson 35-2 Sprit ???

Michael, I suspect you will need a hefty sprit and a bobstay to carry the luff tension of a code zero. However, do you really need a specialized close reaching sail? Code zeros were developed for modern fractional racing boats with non-overlapping headsails, to rate as spinnakers, and power...

Does anyone know the 30+ depth sounds transducer offset to the bottom of the keel?

EDIT TO *** IN POST #13: should say: You don't want a negative fudge factor SMALLER than the actual distance from the transducer to the boats KEEL BOTTOM. Any value SMALLER will measure MORE water depth than you have BELOW THE KEEL! This issue is hard to visualize in your mind's eye because...

Does anyone know the 30+ depth sounds transducer offset to the bottom of the keel?

Sorry for the blank post above, ran out of time getting this reply together. I'm a big fan of simple. Plus, I started navigating before GPS and without LORAN in my little E23. We had speed and depth, compass and paper charts. Often in the fog in New England, we would navigate using the...
