    Water tank leak

Leak Fixed!!! I finnally did it and took the chain saw to the inside of my boat (just kidding!). But it did feel like a chain saw with a 8"x10" hole under the nav table. once opened, it completly exposed the aft end of the water tank and the other end of the "mystery hose". the factory had...

    Paint or Gelcoat on deck

Brian, I agree that awl-grip is the way to go! It has a beautiful gloss and is very resistant to solvents such as acetone, allthough it may dull the finish slightly if you get carried away. Awl-grip is very easy to apply by brush/roll and tip. Couple of tips though, -You may have to remove...

    E-34t History?

Welcome Chris I did not know that there were any t-models with tillers. The t shaped cockpit lends itself for use with a wheel, interesting. on my 34-t I do have a wheel and the rudder post tube comes from the bottom of the boat about 12" high with a large packing gland of some sort. Not like...

    Water tank leak

Thanks for the responses! I think I can rule out the possibility of the Mystery hose being a vent as I can trace the vent hose out of the top of the tank, under the toe rail and back to the transom. One thing I forgot to mention. Before I capped this hose off I tried to blow through it and it...

    Water tank leak

I have an e-34t that has the water tank enclosed under the port side settee. this boat has been an on-going project and I have just recently hooked up the pressure water system in the small compartment just foreward of the tank where I found a 1/2" fitting comming out of the bottom of the tank...

    Back Flooding thru bilge pump??

Check to see that your bilge pump hose has a loop in it that brings it far enough above the waterline when sailing in a stiff breeze and chop. when I replaced my pump and hose I just ran it in the same location thinking that is where it is "supposed" be. WRONG! after about thirty minutes in...

    E-34t History?

found some pictures from splash day. not much has been done to the boat at this point except to keep it from sinking. I still do not have an inboard but the 7.5 outboard moves the boat at about 6 kts on the lake with flat water so i am still looking for the right diesel at the right price. i...

    E-34t History?

Thanks Chris Love my boat as well! It is a project boat but at least I am far enough along to go sailing. Hope to have the project preety well complete about this time next year and start looking for a home port on the coast. Would love to share some pics. I'll see if I can figure out how to...

    Curtains over cabin port lights

Looks Good We are in the proccess of making new curtains as well on our 34-t and had a similar idea. I was going to screw some small bronze eye-straps into the teak panel and thread the curtains through a piece of line attached to the eye strap with some sort of "nautical looking knot"

    Ericson 34X

I recently bought a e-34t and posted a question about the history of this boat. I got a response from Rico who sent me a list of all the production models, dates, and hull #'s. I did not see any mention of the 34-x model but maybee this list will help you, Look in this forum under E-34t History?

    E-34t History?

Thanks I belive you are right. I have been told that the -t- stands for trunk cabin and not tall rig like many think. I'm thinking that the 34-t is one of Ericsons earlier racer/cruiser designs, but do not know for sure.
