    mast height 35-3

Mast Height The link Rowan provided is great - it is the first time I have seen my E/35-II listed as "Short", because short it is. My mast is 40' (I measured it), and that is deck to top of mast, giving me the 43.75' MHAW. I printed that sheet out. Thanks, Rowan.

    E-35-2 Polars

Polars for 35-2 I'm just catching this thread. The last post was August 11. Any action since then? Count me in to share the cost. I didn't see it spelled out for sure, but are we cleared on the copyright issue? BTW, thanks for the good initiative and follow through. Can I blame all my...

    Very interested in a 1971 E35 ll

Ericson 35 All the comments are valid and warrent your consideration. I just have one thing to say - I bought a 74 Mark II almost a year ago and I love it, even along with all the things that go wrong at the wrong time on a 35-year old boat. Good luck with your decision.

    Help! I've sprung a leak

Keel leak After hauling I found water leaking from the very bottom of the keel. There is an L-shaped gouge on the very bottom from which the water is leaking. I can't tell if it was repaired before or if it is new damage, but the fix seems pretty straight forward - let it drain and dry out...

    Help! I've sprung a leak

I've epoxied a piece of wood over the leak and it seems to actually have stopped it, or at least slowed it way down. That's taken some of the edge off, but I keep thinking a huge piece of fiberglass is going to give way. This leak is pretty much right over the keel, and it's not a bolt on...

    Help! I've sprung a leak

Investigation of why the bilge pump was pumping so much reveals a leak in the fiberglass, a small fountain of pin-hole leaks. It has obviously been getting worse because I couldn't find it a couple of days aga. This picture shows the leak - it is below the edge of the shower floor right next to...

placement of engine tach on E35-2

Tach placement on 35-2 On my 35-2 the tack is on the forward wall of the helmsman's well, next to the engine panel. It is readable, although I wouldn't call it easy to read.

    fuel level on e27

Dipstick on E-35 No, not the skipper, the fuel guage! I've only had the boat a couple of months but it came with a dipstick. I check the level every few times we go out and fill up when I get below half, but at about 1.5 gallons an hour, that's not very often. My only issue is the grate on...

    New-to-Me 35-2

I knew I would learn here. Mid-engine Atomic 4. No, the survey did not mention those stringers and I will check them out. The survey did go over the electrical system and everything, appears to have been upgraded within the last 2 years. The 120V system was also replaced. I will check...

    New-to-Me 35-2

She's not home yet, but we are the proud new owners of a 1975 Ericson 35-2. I was reading with interest Eric Miller's posting on buying First Lady, but the last post I saw was in April. Does anyone know - did is go through with the purchase? We are both in Maryland and we had to both be...
