A follow up - the picture doesn't show it clearly but there is a vent with a screen. The vent is mounted on the side of the locker, near the top. (Attached is a picture of the same type that is installed.) I have never had a problem with the locker filling with water and backfilling the tank...

Doug, I did the same as Tim - I ordered new Bomon fixed ports. I also had to slightly modify the openings due to the tight radius. The new ports look great and most of all they don't leak! Kevin 1989 E34
