Main Sail Cover - $300
Sunbrella main sail cover, Marine Blue in color and in fantastic shape. It is about a year old but has only seen sunlight for 6 months. I had it custom made by Cover Craft and changed my mind on full battens when I purchased my new main sail, then my new sail cover was...
Try Foley Hytork
Hi Frank,
I do a lot of motoring and have been using Foley HyTork for about 4 years and have had good success with it.
Here is a good reference on maintaining and servicing marine transmissions...
Hello All,
I'm selling 2 Lewmar fixed angled portlights, and 2 Lewmar SuperHatches. They are orginal to the 1986 32.3 and have been sitting in my inside house closet since 2008. I'm sure will fit across models and most late 80's years.
1 Lewmar 4L - No crazing, glass in great shape. They...
Shower Bilge
I have an 86 Ericson 32-3 and recently re worked my bilges. The shower bilge is connected to the mast bilge. The short answer is that all the bilges are connected through small channels along the sides. My mast bilge had the shower bilge connected on the bottom the bilge with a...
Moisture Meter
Hi Bryan,
I bought a moisture meter last year because I had to track down how far the core was wet. My surveyor's moisture meter detected wetness and mapped it out for me. He showed me some ways that would let it dry over time. IE...pilot holes and heat lights underneath...
Hi Tad,
Yes. Mine drains out the front near the water line as well.
I used a two wire clothes hangers i connected together with electric tape to make it long enough. On the clothes hanger side that will stay in the ancor locker, bend it enough or attached something to it so it doesn't go...
Forspar sink drain
Hi Steve,
I ran in into the same problem. Forespar makes 2 models that are fit the small cutouts of those sinks and can fit smaller drain hoses that are 1 inch to 3/4 inch.
1-1/4" wide Straight which fits the oval head sink drain.
Forspar #907000 (sw-1) for 1 inch...
Re: Rebedding Ancor Locker 86 3-3
Hi Tad,
I also have an 86 32-3. I just rebed my anchor locker and rebed everything in the bow last year. It's an easy project.
What to expect. Be ready to clean up a lot of mold and the aluminum backing plates on the cleats may not be in very good shape...

Mixer Replacement
I have the same boat, one year older. I just replaced my Mixer/elbow with part number #200266. I redid my exhuast a year ago and should have replaced it then. Since the exhaust hose from the muffler was new and 1 5/8 I decided to go with the Vernalift muffler part #1500077...
Hi had the similar problem on my 86 32-3. I eliminated the fresh water tanks by running them dry. It doesn't rain in the summer in Northern Cali, so it wasn't a topside leak. I didn't have any water in that bilge while the boat was in the slip. When under power or sailing it filled up quickly...
Sail SF Bay
Hi West,
I have a 86 E32 MKIII in Pt. Richmond which I'm currently doing an interior remodel and can't take her out for a few months and would be willing to help you. I'm not a pro...I've been sailing for about 3 years and learned from Trade Winds Sailing club and all the ASA...
I've heard great things on Peter as well. He is highly respected in the Bay Area as a "Buyers" surveyor. I was going to use him for my purchase last year but he was booked almost 2 months in advance. I used Randell Sharpe. He's based in Alameda. He spent 8 hours on the survey and after he was...
