    87' E28 spinnaker drops

Can I asked you if you raced a E28? I typically Mexican/kiwi drop on most other boats, but the issue here is apparently the forward hatch is too small or does not articulate all the way back to fit the symmetrical without risk of tearing something. I'm wondering if this is a Ericsson issue or...

    Atomic 4 Died. What next?

The Atomic 4 is one of the most reliable gasoline engines ever made for marine use. There's quite a community and not to say rebuilds are easy, but there's plenty of resources online. Not sure where you're located, but Ive been able to source anything I've needed for a 87 E28 at...

    E34-2, drifter (gennaker?), asymmetrical

Well, in my experience drifters are most often light air nylon material. I meant 8kts. Realistically can handle higher but you don't want a drifter up when you see whitecaps. Today's code zeros are often designed to fit in a top down furler. They look like the following: A good rule of thumb...

    E34-2, drifter (gennaker?), asymmetrical

Early code zeros were mostly racing and to conform to an ORC race rule that would count this type of sail as a Genoa. They optimally are in front of the forestay say on a bowsprit because the better it will perform at deeper angles with more sail area. That said they're made for cruising these...

    E34-2, drifter (gennaker?), asymmetrical

A code zero will be more useful for what you describe. Especially in san francisco where it is liable to puff.

    87' E28 spinnaker drops

Nearly all of our douses are mark roundings heading up greater than 150 degrees. We have letter boxed almost every time and it's entirely too slow. Curious if other 28s have bigger forward hatches or anyone has rigged a retrieval line. I'd like to get our drop around 30 seconds.

    87' E28 spinnaker drops

I race in Long Beach on a E28 and have recently taken over the fore deck position to better or performance. Last race I made a change to our windward rounding set procedures. I have everything set up on the pole under the jib while on a port tack with the spin halyard slack and whipped around...
