Let us know how you do Sergio. I have the M35 Universal in my E35/3. Our stock alternator is 55 amp and never comes anything close to that output ever. When i start charging after an overnight on the hook, the best I can get is about 35-40 amps and that only lasts for 15 min before the output...

I totally agree Alan, just wasn’t possible logistically with the remoteness of where we broke down.

SUCCESS!!! Reinstalled the old mounts and did most of alignment yesterday. Fine tuned everything this morning, and put rest of bits back on engine. Spent a lot of time and managed to get alignment down to .001”. Just came back from our sea trial and happy to report everything very smooth indeed...

Thanks for your response Frank. Don’t think anything has changed re prop (maxprop) or the cutlass bearing (things were dead smooth before. Shaft spins very freely either uncoupled to engine or bolted up to the coupling. Engine very smooth at idle (unless revs very low), and dead smooth right up...

Collar moved finally with soapy water soaking, and two pipe wrenches. Managed to pull shaft forward to mate with transmission coupling after diving to check prop and zinc clearances. No problem there. Have to leave the boat for a week or so now, then on to engine alignment, and reinstalling...
