    I got the Black insert, but have not installed it yet. Boat is currently hauled out for through-hulls and paint. I think it's gong to look fine, but I would have preferred the white.

    You should measure before shipping. I have a 30-2 and the plastic part is bigger than the one Stuphoto has posted. Mine is 2" in height and 1-1/4" in "width" (as mounted) the profile is the same exact shape, just bigger.

    I have had success with the heat gun and a hardwood block or stick with sharp corners. It's a slow process, but In got the drips out of a non-skid deck. finished up with some tedious sanding with 320 wet-or-dry sandpaper. The mesh sanding disks at Home Depot also work well folded over a stick...

    I have E30-2 (30 II) Hull number 1, which was built in 1978, while the table lists 1977 as the start of the class.

    I've got a few questions, maybe some of you could answer: #1) Did the 30-2 have a holding tank? If so where is it? My plumbing goes to a Y valve, one side goes to the pumpout deck plate, the other goes direct to sea. This is hull #1, so I suppose they may have omitted it to get the boat done...
