Trying to determine where the cockpit drains to on my 23' Ericson. It was plugged during recent heavy rainstorm and water level in the cockpit was just below the threshold of the entrance to the boat. I had the hull cleaned and always thought maybe the drain was located below the waterline...

Precision Sails They seem to have the Mark II sail that I need for a reasonable price - nothing fancy just the basics for this boat but it will be better than what currently exists.. I could of course remove the existing sail and send it in to be sure.

Fix and Repair! The boom is now in the proper position with a little effort. The bottom is held in place by a simple round tube with a screw outside the channel that holds it in place. The upper screw however is a homemake configuration of a screw and nut, using the nut to jam the slide...

Ericson 23' Photo This photo was taken this last summer under sail.. obviously. :) Please remember I'm relatively new sailor. See bottom of main, think I'm doing something wrong here. It did however do quite nicely but I'd like it to be as close to perfect as possible.

Did the main go all the way up, so no scallops between the sail slugs (that is, the sail appeared smooth and under high halyard tension)? I believe the main was all the way up, tension was tight and slack was off on Cunningham and traveler. Sail did appear smooth but not as aerodynamic as...

I motored out of the marina in blustery winds 10 - 15KTS. Turned her into the wind and raised the main sheet - I never felt that the main was properly raised and I could never really the sail trim. I think I was running out of airspeed, altitude and ideas all at once. I sailed for probably 45...

Trying to determine where the cockpit drain goes on my 23'. Presently the drain in the cockpit doesn't drain. The bilge is out and preparing to install a new one. I've sailed the boat with the valve closed and the bilge remains dry. Living in the PNW I need to be sure that the cockpit drain...

Currently the bilge is not hooked up - I've purchased a Rule 1500 with associated float switch. I'm trying to determine the proper "plumbing" so I don't have water coming back into the boat while sailing. Additionally I have a constant 1 - 2" of water in the cockpit recess and I don't know...
