I'll be getting a survey done on this 83 E25+. Are these cracks and previous patchwork on the mast step typical for a boat this old or are they cause for concern? I found a 8" softspot fore-deck port side.

Thanks. The Sure Shot entries give a good idea of what's in store if this project is needed. Given a repair shop gave me a 6-10k estimate just for a keel drop and rebed, the additional work would be quite costly. You never know how extensive until it's apart.

I looked at an Ericson to buy, it had a fresh coat of paint on the keel and hull. I saw this leaking from the keel. Below the joint? Any ideas what this problem is?

I got to see a 35-3. It was identical in layout except for the shower like you pointed out. The v-berth seemed to be the same size as the 32-3's I've looked at. Maybe some extra overall space in the interior but it was hard to notice going on memory of the last 32-3 I was on.

Thanks for pointing that out, I just did some research on the 34 and saw that the configuration is different than the 32-3 and 35-3. I think I'm retracting the 34 interest based on that.
